Palais Augmenté 3
L’Oreal
Fisheye Immersive
Le Grand Palais
A series commissioned by L’Oreal and Fisheye Immersive for the inauguration of Palais Augmenté 3 – a digital arts festival focused on exploring ‘the future of beauty’.
The artworks feature artificial humans with hyperrealistic skin. Abstract symbols, patterns and networks were digitally painted onto the skin, and metallic liquid forms were pulled out of the tattoos.

The artworks were presented to the public as a 10 ft installation at Le Grand Palais in Paris.
“Sam Madhu has imagined an immersive installation where visitors confront a series of massive, imposing bodies. The magnitude of the bodies and their augmentations are amplified alongside a soundscape designed by Inès Cherifi. The artist is inspired by the convergence of nature and technology – which she interprets through the augmentation and modification of bodies. Cold, steely organic metallic forms are pulled from inked patterns on digital skin. The artist asks us: "how will we wear our skin in the future?"
The final montage and installation featured a custom soundscape by Inès Cherifi.
